Our apprenticeship programmes are the perfect place to learn the inner workings of one of the world’s leading banks. If you’re looking to launch your career, make banking simpler and earn your degree while you do, this is where you’ll make it happen.
What it’s all about
Any way you look at it, technology is changing the way we live. And that goes for banking too. As a Digital and Technology Solutions apprentice you’ll make a meaningful impact on live projects right from the start. Whether you’re developing industry-leading apps such as Spendlytics or Apple Pay, working with Big Data or protecting our people from cyber crime, you’ll be supported by some of the most knowledgeable colleagues in the business over the four-year programme.
Where you’ll work
You’ll be primarily based in either our Leicester or Milton Keynes office
Who we’re looking for
If you’re genuinely passionate about using technology to improve the way we work, we’re interested in you. You’ll also need a predicted or achieved total of 260 UCAS points in Maths, English, Science, Business Studies or IT (or equivalent), and the confidence to speak up when you see new ways to make things more simple, personal and fair.
In return, you can expect to be equipped with everything you need to become an expert in your field. It’s all about giving you expertise in a diverse range of areas. So with a fully paid degree as well as a tailored mix of on-the-job training and dedicated classroom learning time, you’ll always be given plenty of room to grow. You’ll also enjoy a flexible benefits package designed around you.
If you have big ideas about what the future of banking could look like, and want to turn them into actions, we want to hear from you.
Applications for our September 2017 apprenticeships will be opening in November 2016.

Hear from our Apprentices
“I would definitely recommend the Apprenticeship Programme; it has given me direction regarding the career I have. There are lots of opportunities in the bank and I would advise anyone to push themselves out of their comfort zone ”
Graham – Apprentice – Glasgow
“I applied for many jobs, but no one would give me a chance. I couldn’t get work experience without already having some experience, but I also couldn’t get this experience without already having work experience. However, via the apprenticeship route you were able to find a way of working. I like how my role and qualification intertwined”
